Tramper driver jobs

Tramper drivers are lorry drivers who travel long distances to make deliveries, usually trunking to regional distribution centres. These deliveries may take a set amount of days, anything from 4 nights through to 2/3 months on the road depending on the role and the drivers requirements.

Drivers sleep in their cab and are paid a daily night out allowance to cover the cost of an evening meal, breakfast, washing facilities and upkeep of bedding in the cab.

The licence required to work a tramping job depend on the type vehicle being used. Drivers must hold a Certificate of Professional Conduct and a Digi card and must have knowledge of legal driving hours and practice.
